Wild Abandon Found Me Before I Was Even Looking

Wild Abandon Found Me Before I Was Even Looking

Hello incredible community,

Amanda here, the CEO of Wild Abandon. Some things find you when you are not looking for them. In 2007, I had just closed the door on one chapter of my life. I had sold my retail store and was standing at one of those in-between moments, searching for what came next. I wandered into a market, and a jewelry table stopped me in my tracks.

Wild Abandon found me before I found it. And nearly twenty years later, I am still in awe of everything that followed.

A Brand Worth Being Part Of

From the moment I met the founder, I knew this brand was something real—something worth being part of. I threw myself into it completely. And the more I learned, the more I wanted.

I started as a sales representative with Wild Abandon. The more I understood what people truly needed, the more I wanted to be part of shaping it. Part of molding something that could be even more loved.

That pull never left me.

What This Brand Gave My Family

What surprised me most was how much Wild Abandon gave back: the flexibility to be truly present for my daughters, road trips with jewelry in the back and my girls riding shotgun as we discovered new corners of the island together.

I was beyond excited to have the opportunity to travel, something I always hoped would be part of my life but was never sure how and when this would happen.

Adventure and living to your own beat have always been at the heart of Wild Abandon. So maybe it was never a surprise at all. The brand simply lived her own values, and we got to live them alongside it.

Becoming Her

Wild Abandon taught me the creative process, but it gave me something far more personal than that. It showed me a part of myself I was still finding. The woman who wanted to be bolder, more adventurous, more free.

Wild Abandon has always been for the woman who takes chances. Who reaches for color and bold design. Who wears what she loves without apology. And somewhere along the way, being part of this brand helped me become that woman too.

I wasn't just selling this brand. In so many ways, I was becoming her.

By 2010, that creative energy had grown into something that needed its own home. Glee Jewelry, Wild Abandon's sister company, was born. Where Wild Abandon had blazed its own trail, Glee was built with retail stores at its heart, a wholesale line designed to reach women across a vast range of styles and moments.

A Love Story, Not a Takeover

I was woven into the Wild Abandon brand long before I owned it. When I finally took the reins, it didn't feel like a takeover. It felt like a natural next step in a love story that had been building for years.

My mission has been to honour where Wild Abandon began while leaning into everything I know it can become. I have always seen its potential, and have never stopped believing in it.

The Faces I Still Recognize

At many events and markets, I still recognize faces I first met nearly twenty years ago. People who found this brand at a table just like I did, and never left.

That loyalty doesn't happen by accident. It is built with love, over time. And it is the thing I am most grateful for.

What's Coming Next

Nearly twenty years in, I have never been more excited for what is ahead. Big things are coming to Wild Abandon, and we cannot wait to share them with all of you.

To our community, our team, and every familiar face at every market, this next chapter is for you. 🖤
